Under the Sea!!!

Well another year has gone by, and Logan turned 2!!! This year we had a water party, and the theme was "Under the Sea". I thought it would be great since his birthday is in July to have friends over and do a swimming party. I think all his little friends enjoyed themselves, and Logan had a blast. They swam in the pool, ran through the sprinkler, squirted each other with water guns, played games with water balloons, used side walk chalk, and played pin the tail on the turtle. Of course we finished off the party with a turtle cake and yummy ice cream. After the festivities Logan had to play with his toys and of course since it was nap time take them to bed. I am so grateful for this little guy, and all the cute little things he says and does.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BOYS!!!!

Yesterday the 14th was Dustin's birthday, and tomorrow the 16th is Logan's birthday. I am so very grateful for both of them, and each of the unique qualities they have that make our family so special to me. So to you both Happy Birthday!!!! I love you so much, I could have never asked for more!!!

Why I love Arkansas!!!

Arkansas is one of the best places you can go to enjoy the beauty of nature and have a lot of fun. I practically grew up at Albert Pike, and yet I never get tired of taking in all the beautiful water and scenery. We decided to make a day of it with our good friends Steven and Taj on Memorial Day.We like to ride 4-wheelers through the mountains and stop at beautiful places like this to swim or fish. Check out how cool the fish are in these streams. It's no wonder so many people choose to live with no electricity or running water just so they can soak up the beauty of these mountains. There are so many hiking trails, swimming, horse back riding, and 4-wheeler trails that it never gets old. I seriously recommend that everyone take a vacation here just once. Anyways there is my plug for Arkansas, I know it's kind of a dismissed state, but it is really a great place to visit.

This is the lovely huge snake that peaked it's little head in the window on Mother's Day too see what all the commotion was. We were just sitting there eating family dinner when all the sudden the kids go ummm......Granna SNAKE!!!!!! We all looked and there it was this huge snake just peaking in. Of course Dustin's first reaction was "Alicia get your camera". My Dad D, and Nathan just got a trash can and trapped it. They carried it off into the woods, and hopefully it will never wander into our yard again, because next time I don't think we'll be so kind. Daddy said it was trying to come into the house through the dryer vent. Can you imagine the reaction I would have had when I went to put clothes in the dryer and found that!!?? Welcome to the country is all I can say!!!!

Here are a few pictures that highlight May. My favorite is Logan sitting in time out. Although it's punishment he wears his with pride. He sits there quietly and waits for his time to be up. I also love the transformers mask. It wasn't until recent that he would even put it on. He used to run from you when you tried to get him to wear it. This day he was acting like a monster and chasing mom.

Potty training made easy!!!

Thanks to Logan that is!!! He is such a pro at potty training. He's by no means potty trained, but he goes in the toilet at least once a day, and he actually ask to go. He sits there and plays with a toy for a little while until he has to go and then he'll hold his little peepers down so it doesn't spray and he goes. He started trying in May and I think it was like May 25th he went for the first time. Yesterday was a HUGE milestone, because he went poo in the toilet for the 1st time. I was so worried about this stage, and to be honest actually dreading it. He has made it so simple thank goodness. I'm so excited that we won't have to buy diapers soon. The best part is he gets so excited after he goes that we have to call Granna and Aunt Nessy everytime. Then we get money out of my purse for him to put in his pig bank. I've always heard that boys are harder to train, but I'm proud because he's not even two and he's starting the process. BTW he'll be two in like 2 weeks, and I just can't believe how quickly my little guy is growing up.

Here's an update on the move to Boston: We are moving around August 10th or so. Right now we are in the process of finding a place to live, and making all the nessesary travel arrangements. It's really hard with apartments in Boston because they are so expesive, and they require you to make so much a month, which we don't. Also most of the housing in downtown Boston is old, so they have lead paint. They won't rent to anyone with a child under six because of the dangers lead paint poses. It will all work out, and we know that, it's just a little stressful right now. We are very excited though, and can't wait to start this next phase in our lives.
