Free Thrills

We all have had them, and we all loved them! Well at least I did as a kid. Sticky hands! Dustin brought one home from work one day for Logan. Boy did he have fun, I think he played with it for about an hour. A long attention span for a 1 year old.
Dustin put the little loop around his pointer finger, and he was slinging it all over the place. As you can see it stuck to his face, floor, and at one point it got caught in the fold of his pants and he couldn't find it. We were cracking up at him.
Logan has been getting more and more fun each day. Lately he's been taking the remote controls and pointing them at the TV while pushing buttons. Isn't it crazy he knows that is what you're supposed to do. I guess we watch too much TV in this family. He is also counting to three and shouting blast off at the end. Ok so the only clear word is 2, but when Dustin throws him in the air like a rocket he counts with Dustin and it's soo cute. He loves to help me with the laundry. Who knew he'd love house work at a year, but hey I'll take all the help I can get. Today he pushed the basket to the washer from the bathroom. Stood on the ledge the washer sits on(my mom has a front loader) and I handed him each piece of his clothes, and he threw them in. He even knows which buttons to push to turn it on. He was so proud of his accomplishment. The best thing is when he brings me his little blue shoes and says outside while pointing. Sometimes this happens 5 times a day. He is so funny and full of personality!

Dad & Logan

A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty.

Dustin and Logan were pointing at Logan's new ball that he loves so much! It was the best $3 purchase we've made in awhile.
The weather has been great, so when Dustin gets home from work he takes Logan outside to play in the yard!!
I wanted to post a few pictures of Dustin and Logan, because I don't think I tell Dustin often enough how much I think he's a wonderful dad and husband. (Notice they are wearing Cowboys shirts!)

I LOVE FALL

Here is our little football guy at work!

I LOVE FALL, and especially Texas Fall. I love the smell of the cool crisp air, it reminds me so much of being a kid when the first cool front would come and we'd wake up for school and all the windows would be open and the house smelled so refreshing and clean. I love how you can go outside at night and there aren't mosquito's, but you don't freeze to death. The cool crisp smell reminds me of Atlanta Football games, and the anticipation for Friday nights to cheer and hang out with friends. I hate Hurricane Ike did so much damage, but I love that it brought up cool refreshing air, and we are able to leave the windows open. It's crazy how much this season brings back so many emotions from my childhood, and I guess that's why I look forward to it every year.

Family Pictures

We drove to Shreveport Friday to get pictures of Logan at 1 year and a new family picture. Here are a few of the ones we liked.

My Monkey

It's crazy how much children attract attention. We were at Wal-Mart today and every little lady we saw stopped to talk to the little boy who was pushing the shopping cart. Now that he's more steady on his feet, he feels that he can walk a little with the cart until I'm not looking and let go to pull everything in his reach off the shelves. It's cute to see him interact with random people. He let go of our cart today and walked to another lady's cart and started to push it. It totally caught her off guard because she wasn't looking for a 1 1/2 ft cart thief. He also walked up to a man and did the same thing, but the funny thing was the look on his face when he realized he was pushing the cart of a motorcycle dude. He was a sweet man, but kind of scary to a little baby so Logan quickly ran to me, hid his face in my leg, and quietly said "Mama".
Logan also decided to make friends at McDonald's. My Mom and I ran into some of my old high school buddies. Anyways so Logan has this new chipmunk laugh where every tooth in his head is showing and his eyes are squinted closed. Logan kept yelling to get their attention and then made the chipmunk laugh. Then one of the guys sneezed and Logan said "awchew" and when he says it, his little head goes up and down like ours do when we sneeze. He had the whole lobby laughing at that point.
Ok so these are all random pictures, but I think they are all funny and blog worthy. Dustin eats otter pops like 6 at a time, and of course Logan is a little baby bird waiting for a bite going "uhuhuh" the whole time. I finally gave him one that wasn't open, and he was trying so hard to get the juice. (Dustin did give him bites of the open one too.)
Logan is Friday's biggest copy cat. He loves to put his food on the ground and pick it up with his mouth, and as you can see he does the same thing with his balls and other toys and will carry them all around the house in his mouth.
This is the end table in the living room, and the weekend the Farmers came to visit Logan discovered his ability to crawl under there and peer up through the glass. He used to get stuck, but now he's figured out how to crawl in and out, so whenever I turn my back this is usually where I find him playing peek-a-boo with me. He also plays peek-a-boo with his hands and covers his eyes and laughs every time he pulls them away.
We love to go outside to swing and play with his ball while we wait for Daddy to get home from work. The minute he drives up Logan starts yelling "dada", and it's usually before I even hear the car coming.
Logan's first ouchy! He was following me into the bathroom and tripped into the corner of the door. Then about 1 hour later he tripped over a toy and hit his head on the baseboard. I felt horrible this day because I couldn't stop either fall, but he's recovered. For about 3 days we called him our little Zorro because as you can see his scrape is in the shape of a Z.
